I thought everything on OLF was just fine. Nice smooth, pleasant place to hang out and display some zoot. Then my good friend John Hall gets booted from MIMF and all hell breaks loose. Just to set the record staight I consider all the sponsers here friends of mine not "The Competition" John Hall and I converse by phone on a regular basis. Steve has helped me identify wood and I have bought wood from him. Brian and I have exchanged e-mails and ideas on bandsaws and blades etc. I met Brad Goodman at ASIA and he is a great guy who by the way had a gorgeous archtop he built with him. I have bought wood from Ed Dicks and he is also a fine gentleman. I havn't had the pleasure of meeting Jeff Binion yet but I'm sure he is a fine gentleman too. Sure would like to go to Brazil for a visit. I actually encouraged Shane from High Mountain Tonewoods to sign on as a sponsor and have bought wood from him. My feelings are that there is room for everyone. If I don't have what someone wants then maybe Steve, Brian, Brad, or Ed Dicks and Shane may have it. I was under the impression that the majority here enjoy looking at pictures of zoot and trying to guess some of the unusal woods. You don't have to buy or even read the post if you don't want too. In fact I try to avoid even mentioning price. So to all my competitors here keep up the good work in offering fine products at good prices to our fellow OLF'ers. Bobc38582.3877662037

Bob...nobody could have stated it any better. You're a real class act, as are the other suppliers you mentioned!

Hey Bob!!

You deserve an "atta boy!". I feel the same way. I especially enjoy talking with other wood suppliers to iron out wood quality issues to ensure that we do get the very best out of every piece of wood we lay our hands on. It's respectful to the wood and to those who will eventually put these products into their fine instruments. You and I have had long digital discussions on these issues and I appreciate that. So, let's all just get back at what we like best, buildin' and talkin' about buildin'!! I think I will glue up a back set tonight!

Shane
